ADMINISTRATIVE ADJUDICATION OF ROAD TRAFFIC OFFENCES

AARTO entered into force on a pilot basis in the municipal area of Tshwane on 16 July 2008.  

The pilot implementation has been extended and AARTO is operational in the municipal area of Johannesburg too.  Implementation of AARTO in the remainder of Gauteng is expected to follow, where after the national roll out of AARTO will commence.
